As I walk through the snows of elephants
Past the sea and the cats in the rain
I am intrigued to watch society shirk
As il Migilior goes insane
I delight to observe the Bundrens roam
Past southern structures set aflame
And discuss creation with pale Ramon
While She debates God's name.

They were not the first to recognize
The light that dissipates seem
The same method in Hamlet's madness lies
And in the spider who feasts on white wings

But other lights have they yet to explore
Other wooded paths to greet
To speak with them eye to eye I implore
The day on Emmaus' road we meet.
