Abhinav Srivastava Poems
You have 'Grace', 'Elegance' and 'Beauty' To tell you this, I somehow feel, is my duty; So fortunate indeed would be he, Who seeks and gets friendship of thee.
LOVE AND HATE
One moment you are happy One moment you are sad One moment you want the person In another, enough of him you had.
YOU SURPRISED ME
You surprised me Yes, you surprised me With your elegance With your beauty
I KNOW THAT YOU KNOW
I know that you know - we have observed one another, I know that you know - we have a desire to communicate,
SHIP OF LIFE
A ship floats Through a mist of joy A ship of friendship, trust & love, Where in your spirits enjoy.
I heard her On the telephone, Where she beckoned me By her mystic tone.
'That's how to be a winner' Was the title of your card Which would motivate me real hard.
When I saw you I thought I didn't see you, When I talked to you It seems I never heard you;
Waiting for you At a place little known, I didn't know To what I was drawn;
DILEMMA OF VOTE
Oh! What dilemma the people of this country face, For, if they vote for the 'RAJIV BASE', They have in their hands, Another 'BOFOR'S CASE'; If they back the 'B.J.P CASE',
She knows that he loves her He knows that she loves him One is honest to tell so Another afraid to commit.
Your long wait For our little date, I guess, was destined To a little bad fate;
He is not there Yet she feels his presence He never touches her Yet she dreams his essence.
Your smile makes my heart skip a beat Which I think is no mean feat Your smooth voice is like honey in my ear

You have 'Grace', 'Elegance' and 'Beauty'
To tell you this, I somehow feel, is my duty;
So fortunate indeed would be he,
Who seeks and gets friendship of thee.
I want you to be my 'Friend'
But this, I don't know, how you may comprehend;
'Hardly I know you' - you may exclaim
'Instant friendship, how can I explain'?
Fear of 'Rejection', they say, dissuades,
But sweet are rewards, when you persuade;
So I know not, how you may respond,
But this endeavour, I feel, I cannot postpone.
Reply a 'yes' or reply a 'no'
Whatever you may ...
