Ackroy Lashley Biography
Ackroy Lashley was born in Barbados, West Indies. Grew up in Brooklyn, New York now residing in Hollis, Queens. Poetry has been his first love from High School. He depicts upon his inner-city episodes to constitute the articulating and illustrations established in his poerty. After friends and family convinced him he has a God-given talent he started entering poetry contest and performing open mic. To his surprise he was embraced by audience members. Thinking to him, 'my family and friends were not just being partial to his feelings'; he took his talent and nurtured it.)

Shed stimulating light
Depending what's on my mind some rhyme, some might not
One thing for sure I'll give it all I got
What I got is a gift for words
As these words invade my matter box
With this right hand I inscribe
Life, money, love, the effects of hate, humanity and whatever vibe is right
This is an unbelievable high
Bajanpoet once was shy
As I apply emotions I often look to the sky
Curiosity ponders why?
Open space influence my daily grind
I dateline my poems verbal moonshine
Notably intoxicating as I utter this subject line
