Sky

have you ever dreamt a pillowed dream?
believe what you haven't seen?
or dined with the most beautiful queens
met philosophers and cold machines?

i once learnt to dreamt, i did
i once climbed out of the grid
i flew away from all the grey
and vowed to never return to one day

and i went to the furthest constellation,
travelled to a far off nation,
down further to the deepest ocean
bought fine gifts and brewed strange potions

but then i longed for a home to fasten up
i returned to the grey, but we all grow up,
and there i sat in purgatory,
waiting for someone to tell to my story
