When I Grow Older...

My mindful constitution;
Passion is divine,
But aspiration is desire: smelling other's fame
Violation to Buddha's mandate,
And so it must come to a close in order to stay sane.
But sanity in greatness is diminutive,
For them it isn't sanity
which is veracity
And so their youth stays.

Aspiration is like a bottled drink;
It's there so long you don't drink too much,
At youth you see stars,
Creators of eras:
Steve Jobs,
Shakespeare,
And it's almost reachable
But the bottle of aspiration runs dry by mid-age
Then it's just laughable.

But that's (aspiration) what I want to stay when I'm older.

I know this poem's about what I want to be able to do,
Nice house,
Be rich,
Of course that's the truth,
But I also want my youth,
Aspiration - something to look forward to,
A cause of life and a rigour ‘till sans unto.

But let's not go off topic
And get a signing,
For now is the end to my
extremely long beginning.

I really do want to be able to drive a car,
Driving at speeds well over par,
I'll swerve in and out in my Bugatti Veyron,
No rules I'll follow from then on,
Breaking all records forevermore,
Escaping reality at the speed I'll drive,
(Fast, in case you haven't noticed)
Unstoppable!
I'll be a lone wolf hunting down my prey:
Speed
And will do so without a care,
But honestly,
Is it really worth the officer's glare?

I'll be the new Steve Jobs;
With a wild entrepreneual spirit,
My stories will become something of a myth,
Passion and rigour is my inner core,
I said Passion is divine and shall repeat it,
For only a fool would have a job they can't commit,
Errands for which you crave,
In a job part of your lifestyle - you just love it!
I'll get up in the morning looking forward to the new,
In a job selected for the exclusive few,
This is my mindful constitution,
Well a deconstruction.

But this is a lifestyle of the fantasy,
For in reality,
Jobs aren't so yielding,
The economy is sinking,
Still,
In your youth you see stars,
Creators of eras,
But by mid-age
You increase in maturity,
Then it's just laughable.
‘Are these lifestyles really so very sporadical? '
‘You're asking me? Oh…well, yeah I suppose, but…

I'll do as I wish
Unto contravention of law.
No one to stop me;
Youth was great
Now mid-age shall be it,
Too - the bottle of aspiration filled to the brim,
I'll have a job of my will,
And pays the bills,
But importantly also appeases my mental stipulation.'

And that's where my poem will demise,
As for youth,
Well,
Arrogance will never let it oblige.
