My Mind's Curse

You smiled at me one day.
I smiled back but maybe it didn't show
because I was nervous,
and now still I picture it.

Did she really mean it?
Was it a disguise?
What was the deeper meaning behind it?
Did she like me back?

I can't stop the questions.
Its a curse and I'm afraid the only cure
is a hot, leaded bullet which I refuse to load.
