Journey

No matter how far I go,
I’m never rising from the depth,
It’s not something foretold,
But it’s life I chose over death.

Craving for my grave,
But the gates are still closed,
I walked out saying, I’m brave,
Seeing you being chased.

Second chances are given,
But it’s a choice I had to take,
Seeking through my wisdom,
Not by heart but by faith.

My silent prayers,
It hasn’t been answered,
But I will wait,
Even if it took days.

Sometimes I feel like it’s over,
It’s not like I gave up,
It’s the voice that whisper,
I’ve never failed Him,
Nor has he emptied my cup.

Life is the longest journey,
I’ve threw away chances,
Gave up on others,
Lost trust,
Forgot to pray,
Lied as much as I could,
But it’s not all that’s gone,
I’ll still stay strong,
Cuz life goes on.
