What Child Abuse Leads Too!

Here you are writing about child abuse
Pretending like you know what it's like to be used
Pretending like you know the pain and terror
Even though you know it don't last forever
I can tell you everything I see
I can tell you everything that has happened to me
My mom is gone, she is never home
I am always left alone
I beg and plead,
So maybe my dad won't beat me
I pass my classes I get straight a's
So why do I deserve this pain?
Every night I watch the hate
And see my dad with a new mate
I hide behind walls, I hide behind bars
I even have to hide my own scars
I lay here thinking I can't do this anymore
So I pick up a gun and walk out the door
I know you won't notice because you don't care anymore
I go to the back yard and sit in my favorite swing
And I think of all the nights you use to read to me.
I sit on the ground and look at the window,
I see you smile and I can't help but smile back
I sit on the ground and hold the gun to my head,
Hopefully you will be happy when I'm dead
I watch you as I pull the trigger
I watch you fall to your knees and weep
But, we both know you didn't love me
I look in your eyes and I see all the guilt and pain
I whisper, I am free and never again will this happen to me
I smile as I take my last breathe
Finally I'm free from your grasp!
