A flaming winter fire at my feet
I begin to reminisce
About that very first kiss

I saw you dancing in the dark
The only light was a spark
From the fireflies dancing along
The midnight wind was your song

Throw me a dream
And I’ll catch it
Toss me a smile
And I’ll match it

My best friend is getting a divorce
Don’t know how his 30 year marriage went off course
I have to ask him hundreds of questions
It’s too late for suggestions

When false heroes die
I don’t mean physically, I don’t mean literally
I mean emotionally
I don’t mean in the ground dead

I suppose, that pose
Can be construed as seductive
That cute black dress, I confess
Can be very productive
...

Aren’t we but a grain of sand?
Waiting to be washed out to sea
Aren’t we like water in our hand?
Washing away unwanted debris
