The night is falling
Stars come out calling
Twinkling their diamond eyes
Spreading wonder in the darkening skies

The weight on my shoulder
Feels like a large boulder
How do I explain?
This world of pain

Does fear hold us back
From dreams unfulfilled
Love allowed to drift away
Passions allowed to wither
...

The cold wind whispers in my ear
A melancholy tune I don’t want to hear
And I don’t have the strength to make it disappear
The cold rain is drowning me in all my sorrow
...

Hope is slipping and faith is barely hanging on
As I tremble waiting for the dawn

We spent endless hours talking to the stars
...

Let me tell you a story
Filled with blood guts and glory
Death, old age and prejudice
No boundaries to pain’s edifice
...

I saw a picture in the paper
Removal of brains on a wall with a scraper
Caption said you shot someone with a gun
Fired all the rounds until you were done
...

So how was Wonderland?
Did you find the secret to life?
We missed you sensible smile
As if it was cut off with a dull knife
...

The stars can fall from the heavens high
And no matter how hard I cry
