And it was about you

I saw you once again
and you were all the same
with those piercing eyes that drive me insane

This tree is like me
every year I lose a piece of myself
the leaves fall
my tears are withdrawn

My life, like a snowflake
it is falling and
evaporating
...

My heart it slowly weeps
because love is hard to keep

I've glued the fragments of it back together
...

The roses have blackened
Just like my heart
My soul has been ripped apart
Yet I can't throw them away
...

I planned on creating a beautiful painting with you
Just You
the grass had already been grown
and the stem of a flower had appeared as well
...

And if I could fly, I would
But right now my wings are tattered and bent
I can't save me from myself but maybe you'll help
Because who I'm with isn't who I see
...

I want to be his needle and thread
to patch him up when he's filled with dread
to hold him high above the fire
I see so much more to him than just desire
...

When I look at you I don't see a mistake
but nor do I feel my heart break
I see someone trying to chase their dreams
and they don't know what love means
