Even in my ages of responsibilities

I want to fly the kite
...

Audience I seek among my folks
Give me the minstrel seat I pray
Humour I seek not to give
I have a confession to make
...

3.

In a far away cosmos
Where the speakers blazed
The drums rattled
At the dawn of the night
...

Sad wired the air around us
With grief its vein was filled
The birds had grew quietly quiet
Our shadows became darker
...

Ssshhhhhh! ! !
Listen I hear a story
Shhhhhh! ! ! !
I caught some tales
...

A misty cloud of uncertainty
Looms over our souls mountaintop
The presence of the owl nearby
Waiting watchfully to cry doomsday
...

Perfect start to love's romance
Commitment for food
Dedication for your water
All for now perfect nourishment
...

It flowed,
Controllably, Uncontrollably,
Tears! ! !
Enough to fill Kanji
...

First there was Miwiru
It's unknown his father
Miwiru sired Sigoma,
Sigoma begets Owiny
...

It laid, resting there
Few shadows ago
In between two portraits
One of Mama in her dawn
...

Awo! I know, Zik! ! ! , he is of great memory
Founding fathers of our legacies
Fathers at home, warlords in battlefield
Greats! ! ! Long gone to the world beyond
...

Civilisation or Animilization
Our journey into modernization
Straight paths, now modified crooked
'nd yet we heartily embark
...

Like Wordsworth daffodils I wandered lonely as a
cloud
That floats on high over vales and hills
When at once it came rushing in from within
...

Saddens! Gladdens! !
Which! I Know not of,
Sapiens journey into greater kosmos
Like a mirage, its unfathomable
...

With Eyes Iced all over us
Our hands interlocked by no magic glue
we walked down the aisle, with hearts
We smiled, a glance of we stole
...

Even as the light of the day fades into oblivion,
And the day wears its garment of darkness,
Just as the evening winds brushes against my
skin.
...

Adetola, Aduke, Asake
The young maidens of our village
Whose face dazzles under the moonlight sun
...

18.

Bara roams our streets
The ubiquitous grins
Vultures circles our skies
Our land painted in reds

The Kites Again

Even in my ages of responsibilities

I want to fly the kite
By noon in coloured pants
Joyously cutting through the streets
In sweet estacy of childhood largese

I want to ride my boat with brothers
On Papa's Solfa, like Captain Leroy
Navigating my crew through the imaginary seas
Defiling the deafening screams of the Kitchen

In my seas of reminisce, Reality knocked

I will fly my dreams like kites
For a Colourful life's noon
Joyously cutting through streets
In sweet ecstacy of fulfilment

I will ride my boats with the brothers
On common goals seas, like Captain Leroy
Navigating our visions, through the red seas
Defiling the deafening screams of disappointments.
