Angel Tears

The first time I had my heart broken
My mother said to me
Sometimes pain is a blessing
Just give it time, you'll see.

She said that even heaven wept
When rain fell to the ground
Those tears belonged to Angels
Sent with love to us earthbound.

Tears seem like sadness
But then one day you'll see
That without these angel tears
Earths growth would never be.

These tears bring survival
They help us understand
That through them comes renewal
Of this dreary land.

It is no different when we cry
These tears come from our souls
There purpose is to help us grow
And close up our hearts holes.

The lesson here is to realize
That things aren't always what they seem
Sadness sometimes holds a gift
That's better than you'd dream.
