Go sailing by,
And save sadness for another time.

Not that my mind was blank,
Just absent of self-praise.

I was chasing airplanes through the sky,
And as they turned and danced,
The clouds were photographs
And I was full of life.

There is nothing sound or safe,
Hidden from Your gaze.
The way the wind swells and sways
In supernatural dance.

I made a list of every reason
Why there's no need to be afraid.
But what if all I had should disappear?
Would I still feel the same?

As I sit and watch the tide roll in,
I'm waiting for a ship to captain.
So I can sail upon this sea
Of open graves,

You say I walk too slow.
