The call of the bird awakens me
Though I was not asleep
I want to be outside but it is
Warm here in my keep

Walking in the twilight woods
The shadows rippling through the leaves
Tripping down the path to the glen
Hearing the wind rustling wheat sheaves

Once upon a time sure sounded good
i loved you, you used me, i never understood.
but that's okay because:
i know how to love

i am lying in the bright reflected glow from snow
shining through my window
and reminiscing on the pictures on my walls
in my bedroom
...

since i was small
blue was the bomb
the best colour EVER
and the same as my eyes
...

lately i giggle as i find myself
with my notebook
(the electronic kind)
literally under the covers
...

i wake.
over and over
in the night.
and when the dawn begins
...

i am a work in progress
as is every person i know
no one is fine
no one is finished
...

being inside, yet feeling
outside...
sitting in a room full, yet feeling
empty...
...

sometimes i get quiet
because i can't relate
to things being talked about
at the table.
