I'm currently a college student working towards becoming a Clinical Psychologist with a Master's in Business Admin. Writing short stories and poetry have always been something that I did in order to help me understand myself and to put my feelings into words. I don't let people read my writing usually because I never felt it was that good. But now I'm going to put that theory to the test.)

Scared & Confused

Free verse or Rhyme,
The end result is the same time after time,
My heart spelled out on the page,
Yet you still safe and warm in your little cage,
Not noticing the pain and the agony,
The tears welled up in my eyes,
Lost and confused,
My voice worn and overused,
Speaking to my heart and mind,
But frightened to speak to you.
