Something Strange

From the point where the sky met the sea,
Shot down a lighning bolt,
And in tremor, it hit my boat.

The sea growled like a monster,
And I cried like a kid.
I was all alone in the sea.

It hailed from the heavens,
And the storm rose above my head,
Oh! I was pushed into the dark sea.

I struggled for life in the night,
And swam through the heart of the monster.
But the danger did not end.

I swam till the stars hid,
Till the sun rose overhead.
To my surprise, I saw it at a glance.

A heap of white sand in disguise.
And it was an island.
With a blue sky around it.

My feet touched the land.
And I walked onto the sand.
Then in a moment's terror.

The Earth shook violently
And I awoke briskly
Realizing that I had a nightmare... :)
