Once More

I saw a school boy fade up with studies,
afraid of exam & worrying the worries.
He wished, God, if he was baby then,
to crawl, to toddle & hop like hen.

Soon, I saw a college boy, bunked a lecture,
pondering was he over past & future.
He wished, God, if he was school boy again,
to play with butterflies and in the rain.

Then, I saw an adult who was a clerk,
with distress finishing the office work.
He wished, God, to give once more childhood,
to enjoy school & delicious food.

I saw a old man bent in the back,
the strength in muscles did he lack.
He wished, God, if again he was a youth,
to fight for justice and the truth.

Then,
I saw a quiet old man remembering his life's theme,
Soon he heard the knell ringing for him.
No wonder if he wished, God,
to have his life once more! ! !
