Inevitable Change

Change is inevitable I now know
Like the cycle of day and night and it's flow.
The baby that grows to be the bubbly smiley being
The little boy that grows to be the tall independent man of doing
He has his own mind, his own likes and dislikes too
The bud that unfolds makes the beautiful flower
The baby bird, it soon learns to fly higher.

Change is inevitable I now know
Like the seasons that change and show
Relations too keep changing and evolving
They keep reshaping and growing
The ultimate lesson is to let go and live on
The feelings, the moments, the memories stay on.

People, their lives, their feelings to change.
Who can keep a bird in a cage?
Who can make a sand clock pause, make time to ebb?
Who can make butterfly stay, catch it in a web?
Who can keep the rainbow, make the spring to last?

Life is just so, feel, live, let go of the mast
In this our centre stage of the present, future and the past
People, relations, feelings all part of the play.
Who knows when the curtains do fall?
Live fully, feel fully and give it your all.
