1.

Yes trees may stand tall in the sky,
And sway gracefully,
And they might even grow strong and firm,
But are trees really full of life and energy?
...

Lonely I am,
As a teenage girl,
To face the judgements,
Of this unkind world.
...

As she beat me I fell to the ground,
Wishing some way somehow time could possibly be unwound.
Hoping that my friends could hear all my goodbyes,
As I watch death silently stare into my eyes.
...

When I step foot onto the court
I become a lioness defending my pride
Against the fierce attack of a puma,
Who through his eyes, only sees dinner.

Trees

Yes trees may stand tall in the sky,
And sway gracefully,
And they might even grow strong and firm,
But are trees really full of life and energy?
People always talk about the miraculous beauty of trees.
But what about the cold winter nights,
That most trees endure with no leaves to keep warm.
Or what about the felling of the wet torturous rain drops,
As they pelt down from up above.
And how about standing in the sun’s scorching hot face,
With a quilt of leaves on their backs.
But Hey,
Nobody said it was easy being beautiful.
