We Try To Fill An Empty Space

We try to fill an empty space
Going from person to person and place to place
Some even go to the extreme
But drugs and alcohol are not what they seem
They don’t make the emptiness disappear
It returns in the morning along with the fear
There’s only one way for the void to fill
Only Jesus Christ can fit the bill
The hole in our hearts is just His size
Through Him we find the ultimate prize
Where chaos once reigned supreme
Peace is now ours not just to dream
To live a life that is complete
Bend your knees at Jesus’ feet
