Biography of Arthur Patchett Martin

Arthur Patchett Martin was born in Woolwich, England,on 18th February, 1851; he was the eldest son of an Australian pioneer colonist.

He was educated in Melbourne.after which he entered the Victorian Civil Service, during 1862 he helped to found and later became Editor of the `Melbourne Review', this position he held from 1876until 1882. After leaving Melbourne he returned to England in 1882 and remained until his death in 1902. ..
