I need to know you love me
Which is hard from where I'm at.
Sometimes it gets so hard to tell
What's real and what's an act.

As the feelings fade away,
I'll forget you more each day,
But I always think of how things could be
If you'd only cared to stay.

Even though I never know
What really should be said
And lock the words up
Inside my heart and head

I can't believe I'm saying this,
But I'm just saying what's in my head.
And through it all, I still don't know
If I can trust you again.

At only 17,
We know of love and loss
And we know how much all of it costs.
We are left with so much responsibility

but is it really true?

What's True?
I need to know you love me
Which is hard from where I'm at.
Sometimes it gets so hard to tell

I know you say I have no reason
To doubt you like before,
But you took my heart and broke it twice.
How can I help but think you'll do it more?
I try my best to give you
The benefit of the doubt,
But every time, I find something wrong.
Even it it's really not.
I cant believe what you think of me...
It surely can't be true.
From what I've seen every day,
The world believes me too.
