I wish I was a bird so I could just fly away,
And escape all the harmful things from the light of day,
To be free from all misfortune, the heartaches, and the pain,
And to escape all things in life that are inhumane.

I wonder if Obama’s face was snowy white,
Would all of America lie in such a fright?
Would we all run to the polls to speak our minds?
Would this still be the greatest election in all time?

Coffee stains my face,
And the rain pours from my eyes,
I call out into the country,
“Who am I? ”

We cannot forget the loving time,
The special ones that pass,
Our hearts remember, sometimes learn,
