As Ephemeral As The Thunder Clouds

She woke up to the May morning clouds,
Those whimsical giants that left the trees enshroud.
Between the monstrous thunder and lightening,
she lets her companions from the night before, go fluttering.
Oh! flutter they do! Jump hither and thither,
Causing the dichotomous brain to wobble and then blur.

These oppressive escorts, like the clouds, are a mystery.
They raise from pit bottoms, run off to the far away sea,
only to come back and pour on her more frighteningly.
As her emotional palette expands the clouds begin to move,
lifting the threatening shrouds and humming the eerie song.
She takes the landscape in and sees the trees groove.

Dancing to the haunting music, they look more green than ever.
The earthy fragrance and the blooming buds,
take away the unendurable compatriots forever.
Occupying the better part of the heart, making for jocund friends,
leaving little space for any doubts.
Aha! her nightly companions are as ephemeral as the thunder clouds.
