Woman

Woman, I am!
More beautiful than a rose, always on my toes and everybody knows
Absolutely, stronger than a man! Best believe
Not in physique or stature, that’s a shallow thought
intellect is what I’m after, I wanna capture your attention
to realize and respect the strength of these women today!
Well, you may say ”This ain’t women’s day!
I didn’t come to hear a speech or congratulate a woman today! ”
And that’s ok!

As long as you know, that every day you breathe
a woman or one in the making affects your life in every way
When momma birthed you and your grandma cuddled and prayed for you and your wife stayed with you and your daughters are now looking up to you

Thee ever evolving, problem solving, multi-tasking, baby making, man pleasing, God fearing, intellectual and hardworking being is the phenomenon that personifies the meaning of the word survive
called woman!

Woman, I am!
Most time’s a happy face, girded in style and full of grace and
Does due diligence in working a plan!
Exudes from my soul Tears from struggles,
You don’t know my demon’s or gone through my troubles,
Almost super human and
Always finding a way, after falling, getting back up again
Yes, I’m talking about woman!
Sometimes I go through life hurting, but you don’t know,
calling on the name of Jesus, hoping that at least He show
up with me as I go thru D’Inferno’s of life.
Women I know you feel me, even if you don’t know me
it’s just a mental telepathy a connection that’s understood but unseen.
I’m not just another performer, reciting a poem.
I’ma prolific lyricist, teller of truth rhythmically honed

Woman, I am!
If no one congratulates you, I do! !
Having survived life’s trials, been called everything from beautiful,
to b@%#$, to boo-boo!
Thank God YOU know YOU!
Not always comfortable in our own skin, sometimes fallen the victim and prey to some men, challenged every step of the way but proving, we won’t let no one hold us down!
Let me give a shout out, to TuPac,
for encouraging us to keep our heads up!
You let us know that somebody out there gives a “you know what” about us!
Women, keep doing your thang! You know, doing what you do to maintain, it ain’t gon always stay the same for you and your’s.
