Suddenly

When love suddenly dies
Without reason or call,
Signs of silence break ties
Breaths no longer rise,
But forever fall.

And love,
Unrequited and forbidden,
Fades on one face,
Yet, on the other,
Free-flowing but hidden,
Flourishes without trace.

Carried on waves of radiant light,
Love grows.
Till by sheer will
Her life's force ignites,
Glows the brightest white,
Blows, and takes flight
