Five Times

Let the phone ring five times
hang up
no more, no less
any more they're too busy to talk to you
anyhow
they're not anxious to.
anything less is a waste of nerve
or just plain creepy
never leave a message
or you're only cheating yourself
leaving yourself
no reason to call back again
