The Cavern of Light

Clear, blue water rising to my chest,
walking through the cavern of light,
confidently taking each step, though trite,
an eerie presence I sensed; alive and near,
watching me closely. I showed no fear.
It's intentions and identity unknown,
after a while, at the end, to the
surface, I rose; turning around,
I saw a shadow down deep,
slowly beginning to creep.
Tingling, I thought, is it real,
perhaps an eel? This I'll never know,
but love, it showed; as it let me pass by
through the cavern of light, without
much adieu; it just knew...
