To Let You Go

My heart denies my self to lie
My tears find not an eye to cry
No consolation comes from 'bye'
But I must let you go.

For should I not, my soul would fly
Into the dark, and I could die
From mortal stab, through want of try -
I need to let you go.

My spirit breathes a sorry sigh,
But with my heart, does now comply,
For now I know the reason why
I have to let you go:

I love you so.
