I sat in the old rocking chair,
like I had when I was young
I let it go, to and frow,
Let my mind drift back to a time
when I was young, just curled up
in my mothers arms.
I sat in that old rocking chair,
my mother had before I was there
she still has it now,
all banged up, near falling apart.
Yet it still took me back to when I was young
and I smiled as I let it sweep me to and frow.
to a childhood that I knew so well,
to a life that was not unfair.
