I am home where I’m not supposed to be

I am home where I’m not supposed to be
I drive through your baffling streets
Through confusing signs and structures
Tiring myself into these familiar cultures

I breathe your bitter fumes
Seeping through in between my judgment
Filling my lungs with memories of late
And broken hopes from the things you said

I bask upon your fading sunset
Feeling the cold betrayal where love still lingers
Seeing you in everything that I see
I am home where I’m not supposed to be
