Friendship is always auspicious,
‘Tis a bank that never runs dry;
You can retain its worth till you die
For to help, a friend seldom tires.
Friendship is a relationship that binds,
Like that of the hand and the eye –
When the hand gets hurt, eyes cry;
And when the eyes cry, hand wipes.
Friendship is a regimen that heals;
‘Twill suffice when you are in need –
It sooths when your heart doth bleed,
And shields you from that which kills.
Friendship is a treasure like no other,
Its ingenuity outdoes all earthly riches,
With it you can unravel life’s hitches;
O’ pals do good than would a brother.
