History Is Now

As soon as it's close, it's near,
As soon as you're born, you're here.

As soon as you see, you've seen,
As soon as you return, you've been.

As soon as you've spoken, you've said,
As soon as you've eaten, you're fed.

As soon as you listen, you've heard,
As soon as you've discouraged, you've deterred.

As soon as you've touched, you've felt,
As soon as you've sniffed, you've smelt.

As soon as you think it, it's though,
As soon as you buy it, it's bought.

As soon as you've finished, it's done,
As soon as you've ran it, it's run.

As soon as you find it, it's found,
As soon as you bind it, it's bound.

As soon as you throw it, it's thrown,
As soon as you plant it, it's sown.

As soon as you lose it, it's lost,
As soon as you flip it, it's tossed.

As soon as you catch it, it's caught,
As soon as you teach it, it's taught.

As soon as you cry, you've shed,
As soon as you die, you're dead.

History is now, that's how it moves on,
The sooner it's here, the sooner it's gone.
