Bharat Trivedi Poems

Oh Mother -
you’re Lord’s loving labour!
With gratitude,
I bow at your lotus feet
...

On a full-moon night,
Taj bathes bare
with immortal grace
in the cool serene waters
...

Fragrant footsteps of your heartbeats
paced to-and-fro on my heart’s red carpet,
while the phantom of your reminiscences haunted me
all night long!
...

A wonderful warm feeling
and all the senses reeling,
with nostalgia in my heart
I walk down the memory lane,
...

I am pregnant with a pink petite Poem
pulsating in my mind’s womb.
After months of creepy cramps,
countless kicks and

When
the glorious golden orb sinks in the torrents
and flowing moon shines like a silver plaque,
When zephyr plays with your lustrous locks

Before I say Goodbye,
let us walk bare-feet on the silky shores,
and collect handful of sandy spiral seashells.
Let’s gather the sea in our palm-cups,

Somewhere,
Sun wakes up from his cat-curled sleep
unfolding itself into innumerable golden rays
like an orange lotus with zillion petals.

Cold-bloodedly,
I poison my precious poem
with the tip of my quivering quill
to quench the venomous quest

Will your promise
to meet me some day be fulfilled?
before my eyelids droop in eternal sleep and infinite peace!
but better hurry up,

At twilight
in the infinite parameters of horizon,
snoring sun sleeps
under the blanket of dusk

I gaze
at myself in the mirror
of your gazelle eyes -

Crawling towards a distant delusion,
I reach the illusionary lush green oasis,
where the cool blue waters offer me their luscious lips
to quench my insatiable thirst of centuries.

Angry gusty winds blow away
the sand-castle, I had once built
with sea-shells of love
and conches of care!
...

When your thoughts glide like a stately swan
in the lake of my emerald memories,
every day, my eyes laced with
silken sleep and chiselled marble dreams

Distinctly,
I see in my mind’s eye –
that (in) auspicious day of my life,
when we were bound in flowery matrimonial bonds.

Evening raises the curtain
from the waning horizon,
dusk tip-toes on the moss of darkness
casting solitary shadows

Blushing red roses grin at me like shy tribal girls,
smothering me with their sweet intoxicating fragrance
While I gaze at the voluptuous curves
of the virgin-white clouds

Sometimes
in distant foreign lands, when
pangs of loneliness caress me with the forgotten love
and eerie solitude smothers me with gloomy affection

When we met,
Fate,
the compassionate compass
brought us so close to each other,

Bharat Trivedi Biography

A Commerce Graduate from Bombay University! Born and brought-up in Bombay (Mumbai) but currently i live with my family in BAHRAIN (M. East) . Employed as a Financial Accountant with leading Import firm in Gulf. I’m a down-to-earth Male, but often ride on white-winged Pegasus to unexplored continents and unknown lands to pen poems. a ‘budding’ poet. though I’ve been writing poems since my college days, but I became serious about poems, almost four years ago, when my near & dear ones encouraged me to enter in ‘International World Poetry Contest’ and one of my poems made it to the finals! My poetries revolve around words and imagery, but Melancholy usually peeps in most of my poems, through a tiny key-hole. I strongly believe - “Life is pendulum swaying between a tear and a smile”… My Interests: Creative Crafts, Reading, Writing, Movies, Music, Computers and Poetry (of course) …)

Oh Mother...

Oh Mother -
you’re Lord’s loving labour!
With gratitude,
I bow at your lotus feet
when I remember that -
you have brightened my days with magical sunlight
and illuminated my nights with fairytale dreams
then I often close my moist eyes
to transform into that innocent child
and seek the warmth of your bosom
to rest my fatigued face
in the luxurious lap of your lilting lullabies!

Oh Mother -
you’re Master’s marvellous masterpiece!
I salute you with
abundant admiration and profound appreciation
as I recall how you nurtured me
with the heavenly nectar
from the fountain of your breasts.
How your soft hands that rocked me in the cradle,
firmly moulded me into a man of substance
with the clay of your wisdom and love,
to fight the battles of life.

Oh Mother -
you’re Almighty’s amazing angel!
I trace my fingers
over God’s wonderful work of art -
the unique texture
of your wrinkled face
smiling in a faded photograph
my eyes blur by the flood of thawed tears
amassed in a forgotten slot of my heart
as I cherish your precious ‘gift of life’ to me.

Oh beloved Mother -
we may be miles apart
but I realise all that I owe you
can never ever be repaid back
and now I have only
a mother-of-pearl
tear to shed
from afar…
