Early Days

I thought it's just another day as I walked out of my front door
But I could feel a little lightness the world feels a little less hard core
There's definitely something different here, not sure if I've felt like this before
Crazy thoughts kicking around, way too strong to just ignore

It's like I found a special one and implicitly we've made a pact
So easy being together we're like a natural double act
If I'm adding stress to situations then you naturally subtract
Spending hours talking nonsense and then kicking crazy facts

We both know it's not been long, but this thing it feels so real
It's just the way that I am I want to tell you how I feel
I'm loving you in my life and don't have to beg borrow or steel
Words to express my emotion I'd much rather keep it real

You know I love to blast lyrics about dropping keys properly
These days I'm more likely to see trees and contemplate them mindfully
I'm floating on a raft and your sitting next to me
Then we dive in the sea for hours of blissfull physical activity

Nearly at work now babe so I'll try to end this thing just right
I know these words aren't perfect but you'll think that that's alright
So happy where we are, and the futures looking bright
Can't wait to be with you again and hold you through the night
