I live... alone... in the shadow...
the deep and cold expanse of dark surrounds me....
I have tried to come out.... but the light... it shuns me....
...
Is it cruel or kind not to speak my mind…
And to lie to you… rather than hurt you…?
While I confess all of my sins after several large gins… still I hide from you… hide all that’s inside from you.
I no longer hear the music! I no longer see the light!

I live... alone... in the shadow...

I have tried to come out.... but the light... it shuns me....
burns through my soul.... with an incessant fury....
is there anybody else who lives here? I can find no one... but me...
solitary confinement... the greatest poverty of all...
for a minute in the light... would be the greatest wealth..... of all.....
