Africa

I am the son of Afrika
Tall, dark and fearless
I am well baked by the African sun
Nourished by the fruits mother nature
Inhaling the aroma of the sweet winds of Africa
Colourful skies shelter my curl peach black hair

I belong in this house.
I match, I withstand, I love, I care
I wish not to be planted as where
For my roots drinks the rivers of fertile soil
My limbs forever moistured by the unacidic rain and blazing warmth

Wars and porverty are winds and thunder storms of nature
we shall notbe shaken nor struckened
for the soil we walk upon is our shield and strength

be proud, be brave, be loud and break the shell of the norm
rise like the moon that brings light to the day that is claimed to be gone.
twinkle my youthful soul and be known to those the blind
blow my tongue and be known to those who are deaf

stand up for the world that looketh down
prove the truth to those fooled by the status quo.

be proud of home for I am
be bold for I am
stand, talk, change, awake
for I am

Break the shell for it impedes
Conquer the world for it is yet to be conquered
Open the doors for they partial

Be who you are for a
I am who I am
And I will be who I want to be
A dream dreamt and forgotten is just
but a dream dreamt and leaved is fulfilled

I am not who I was told to be
Or schooled to be

but born to be
no bird is born not fly unless plucked
grow y0ur wings
climb up high, rise and fall. to you fly
because I am
