Please excuse my house today,
The kids and I played all day.
We played house and had a tea,
I bounced my baby on my knee.
...

There was a boy that I once knew,
He hugged his mother as he left for school.
He was so brave, he didn't cry,
He only looked back to wave good-bye.

Our Home

Please excuse my house today,
The kids and I played all day.
We played house and had a tea,
I bounced my baby on my knee.
I don't care that the dishes aren't done,
The kids and I had some fun,
The beds aren't made, and that's ok,
They will wait for another day.
Children grow so very fast,
I want these moments to always last.
Cleaning house will always wait,
I'll play with the children before it's too late.
My children are most important to me,
And that's the way I want it to be.
So don't you criticize my way of life,
I'm a very happy mother and wife.
Our home is a home in every way,
Because we take time for our kids and play.
