Blind Love

Im standing here by your side,
fighting off all your fears,
even when you dont need me,
ill be there to catch your falling tears.

I dont quite understand,
how you and him can fight,
then act like nothing ever happened,
and just simply reunite.

You call me your escape at times,
and thats ok with me,
but when its continuously happening,
it cant possibly mean he's letting you be free.

I wish you could feel what i do for you,
maybe then you might understand,
that im not being sweet or kind to cheer you up,
but its my love for you pouring out into your hand.

They say love is blind,
but i know you can see just fine.

I hope when you read this,
you will see,
that watching you love someone you fight with,
is the hardest thing ive ever had to live by,
but as long as im living and near,
ill be there to fight off the darkness,
thats always surrounded by fear.
