Brandy McLemore Poems

And who calls it Desecration?
When you put the sinner up to my lips.
Giving the first king temptation.
From the tree of good and bad, the red orbs cut into chips.
...

A silky mane shining like a brilliant jewel.

Short clean nails as the finest ivory.
...

Things are all well, want to come and see my cuts? I cut them just over you to see.
Want to heal with me? I hurt just for your fists.
Let’s have some fun so tomorrow you’ll leave me by myself because friends are around.
Yeah I asked for it lover.
...

This is a poem for a great friend.

Dear man I love you so, but I just could never see it happening.
And it pains me to know that you think otherwise.

And who calls it Desecration?
When you put the sinner up to my lips.
Giving the first king temptation.
From the tree of good and bad, the red orbs cut into chips.

How selfish to make the great sins and not share.
Sins seem genuine, they eat away at my riped soul.
You called me your likeness, but I had another love affair.
Then you cast me away down your hell hole.

Now I'm shun all because of my weakness.
From the outside I stare in.
The only feelings that can be detected is my bleakness.
Now I strive for my living but I'm sullen and thin.

Oh lord it was all you, and you knew what was to become.
For what you did, towards you we are numb.
