Bridgett La Shae Wines Poems

Leaving old and entering new
is something really hard to do
Entering into a foreign land
A violin mixed with a jazz band
...

Summer nights take me away into a peaceful place
Like a sponge I release the stress absorbed from the world
So then I float with the wind that pushed through me
I am alone with my thoughts and a silent melody
...

The rich taste of soultry music
Barely comes close to this
Fresh vibe.
Feel that bass line

Immigrant's Pride

Leaving old and entering new
is something really hard to do
Entering into a foreign land
A violin mixed with a jazz band
Different languages and different races
Different climates and different places
When the world is strong and you feel bony
You feel out of place and you feel lonely
When everyone else has their own little clique
And some people will act like they are the lick
Trying to fit in makes your blood boil
When you are the water trying to mix with oil
But you must learn to bend things a bit
One way doesn't always have to be it
Oil and water may not mix, but it all settles down
Individuality shouldn't be something to fix, but worn proud like a crown
Next thing you know everyone will try to bite your style
