you dirty frog I can't believe
that you would want to marry me
You're short and fat and really plain
You really are of great distain

There is a certain beauty
that every woman holds
It shows itself in different ways
a truth it does behold

Am-i-fat-am-i-fat-am-i-fat-am-i-fat
Is it just fiction, or is it just fact

Am I thin, am I short, am I stout, am I tall

A Frog's Life

you dirty frog I can't believe
that you would want to marry me
You're short and fat and really plain
You really are of great distain

Your eyes are big, your nose is flat
I wouldn't want you on my back
What's that you say?
A magic frond

then POOOOOOOF it rang across the pond

A holy grail of pink and white
A tidal wave of massive height
My legs are pulling out from under
the wave - it tossed me in the chunder

No breath…So am I up or down?
now who is looking like the clown

No breath no breath, the water's in
I feel it running down my chin
Just close my eyes and live the fear,
as the face of death comes near

White is all around my head
Right… so am I really dead?

Then something wet is on my mouth
Something that is heading south
Do I feel alive again?
I feel the air…I feel your skin…I feel the trance you put me in
You cup my face between your webs
You don't know if I'm really dead

Your head is placed apon my chest
You crumple down with sheer distress
I move my web to cup your head
To tell you I'm not really dead

I feel the rush beneath your skin

…I want to be your next of kin

You look at me
Your eyes are bright
You nearly burst
with sheer delight

It's ok now, just put me down,
I think that I might stick around
your bulbous eyes are on my face…
And is that you that I can taste?

Then someone lit the sign up,
spilled the beans, has crossed the more.
You saved my life, I'll be your wife
now get me through that door!

One month later….

We sit around the lounge room
with our glistening bags of spawn
We drink and talk and laugh and sing
Our cards have all been drawn

We're both up on the whiskeys
brewed from pond sludge up the road
Well my oh my, how you've become
A rather handsome toad!

We have 7000 children, and each one we know by name.
The littlins', they live with us, the big one's - down the drain.
You may be quite suprised that there's no 50 shades of grey
You gave me life, I am your wife and with my heart I'll pay

So now your eyes are clear and wise
Your nose is broad and strong
Your body still astounds me
How could I have been so wrong?

You've built the house
You've raised the kids
you even got up nights.
You saved me from a universe
of death's eternal light.

So now we snuggle into bed
And roll about and fawn
and listen to the neighbours son
light crackers on the lawn.
