Bruce David Poems

I hear his moaning
But is it the churning
Or the turning
Of his soul?
...

For those that fight the battle of 'never win'
And struggle beneath the crushing load of potent loss
I say, 'Cry! '
...

Tonight I see 'em dance
Up on the wall
The Wall of death and distress
The War was hot
...

Keeping the Main thing Primary

Does it work?
...

What pain?
What thrill?
What cause?
or lust?
...

I am sure the 'shoulds' have it
I am sure that they do
The 'coulds' and the 'cans'
Are not coming through
...

Here and gone.
Now. Once.
Once is all
And precious.
...

At dusk I gazed across vast ocean
Fading in granular twilight
Then..I realized that it was only
A single glistening tear dropp from Your eye
...

Is the 'you' I see
The 'you' that's there?

There must have been
...

There are inward wounds
And racing hearts
In those of us consumed by pain
That walk the street of sad retreat
...

Close, but far away
Loving him in spite of worts
We pray together and listen
And the answer comes
...

Of his soul?
