Biography of C.J. Heck

C.J. Heck A published poet and children's author, CJ lives and writes in NH. She has three married daughters, six grandsons and two granddaughters.

Besides poetry for children, CJ loves writing fiction and nonfiction short stories and essays. When writing, she draws on her life's experiences. Once a flight attendant, the owner of a small business, an executive secretary, a senior records clerk for the detective division of a police department, she’s also written radio advertising and sold insurance. CJ is also a Vietnam widow.

For the past seven years, CJ has been promoting her first children's book, “Barking Spiders (and Other Such Stuff) ”, through school visits, poetry workshops, Young Author Conferences, as well as other personal appearances.
