The Poet, The Silhouette

Like an unsure step in the dark,
I stumble blankly,
Blindly.
But the voice assures this too shall pass,
Unconvinced I reach out for someone,
Something.
The days turn to weeks to months,
The voice so sweet,
So persuasive.
The voice fades, it's found a new ear.
I crumble.
I am shadows and dust.
I am a shade.
I am a hollow shell.
I am
Empty.
