All I see is worry plastered over every face
I see the people who have forgotten
The little things that really matter

I am sitting on the porch
Watching rain
I feel so calm
The kind of unsteady calm that comes with the eye of a storm

Sometimes when you feel like writing
You don’t know what to say
You try as you might
But the words refuse to go the right way

So eager to please, I am
I’ll change for the world
And back again

Some people say
A cloudy day
Makes happiness go away
...

Someone come
And whisper
I love you
Into my ear
...

'Fight, fight, fight! ' They all chant in unison
The hallway has been turned into a boxing ring
Where all weapons are good weapons
And everyone is too afraid or too enthralled to ring the bell to end it all

Inf you knew what I thought
You'd put me away to rot

In a quiete peaceful place
...
