Clean Slate

I woke up this morning with a brand new smile on my face
I looked out my window and saw the world as a different place
No longer were grey storm clouds grumbling in the sky
And this empty, sad feeling which left me wondering why
I have this new warmth sprouting from the pit of my soul
No more bitterness or hatred but kindness is my goal
I don't know how this all happened but now I am happy to be
Someone that smiles back when others smile at me.
