It doesn't matter what we say all day, or whatever we do,
I needed to fulfill my social needs and I tried to use you.
And although you enjoy talking with me, it can't be all we do.

It was sought but feared, or so it would seem.
Crushes came and went, and then we grew,
Feelings and mistakes came on through.

And although we see things differently,
We never fall apart.
Letting an argument go gently,
Going back to a fresh start.

Ghost from the past,
How long can you last?
Invading every mind and eye,
Tied to this world with your alibi.

Oh but my love for you is much more,
So much more than they think it’s for.
Deeper than feelings that others comprehend,
Always growing, we have no dead end.
