Biography of Cassidy Hartwig
My 5th grade Language Arts teacher, Ms. Huffaker was the first person to inspire me to write poems.
When I started to write my poem, my imagination just spilled onto the pages and filled it to the brim. I loved the feeling instantaneously. Ever since then I have loved to write poems.
Cassidy Hartwig Poems
My longing days are over. Freedom is finally a clover. I have always wanted freedom. Now my dreams of freedom have finally come to life and have sprouted.
Fire raises its head as a fire spreads Lies & death follow its wake
The wind flying freely The butterfly flying with grace
One day the bird said what is life? I replied life is a sharp knife.
Light Of Day
The sunset is fading into the mountain as I look into the eyes of my forever lover. My heart is in a fray. I don’t want to leave any words unspoken. I don’t want to let him know that I must leave and never return.
I Used To Dream
I used to dream of lovely endings But now I am burdened by reality
I sink into black water as I pay for my crimes. The darkness is endless I sink further & further into black water. Memories flash one by one as I remember my life. Why did it have to end this way?
Everyone has their broken promises. Everyone has their darkest secrets. A secret, or a promise that is quite poisonous. Sometimes they start to corrupt your heart, consume your thoughts. They will never leave you alone.
Summer fades and all the dead leaves fall. Though one tree does not shed dead leaves. The tree seems to be out of time. The leaves are of a rosy hue never losing their color even in the cold winter.
Death is a dark reflection of life. Life is what binds us to this mortal world. Death tries to faze us and get a hold of our mortal life.
Who is the fairest in the land? Black Swan, Black Swan! No, me! I am Cynthia. I am the fair & mighty.
In a faraway land lies a broken tower inside this broken tower lies a faded woman. She yearns for love. Her glorious light used to light the tower and fight dark fears. But one day she let fear in and with it came misery, and all the horrors of human kind. The Abyss Tower seemed to loom and conquer all when these horrors came in.
Who is the fairest in the land? Black Swan, Black Swan!
No, me! I am Cynthia. I am the fair & mighty.
Who are you? I am Ember. I am the kind & the brave
But who am I?
You are Black Swan. You are our hopes, our dreams. You are our light & dark. You judge whether we live or die.
